Back in China
Hong Kong (香港) or 'Fragrant Harbour'
and it is fragrant....

January 26 to February 1

Six days in Hong Kong. Mostly we just stayed in the room. The city is very expensive, but wonderful to get around in. Usually we would go out walking at night, then stay up too late to hang out with our friend Jian Xin, which is really why we went to Hong Kong. Unfortunately, Jian Xin is very, very busy working and our time was somewhat limited to spend with her, though we had some wonderful time with her wherever we could, and it was totally worth it to go for the visit.

We did spend one afternoon out doing tourist stuff, and managed to make it out to Lantau Island up to Tian Tan Da Fo to see the biggest bronze Buddha statue in the world. Pretty cool really, but the 'fog' thwarted our view yet again. Mostly we enjoyed the city lights, the friends, some great meals and sleeping during the day.

We also had the chance to see another friend of ours from the States who lives here now. We were really glad to have the time and the opportunity to visit, but here also our time was more limited than we would've preferred.
